Now that Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba have become Dutch cities, many laws may change including the laws governing the use of nautical VHF radios and Epirbs.
If the laws do change you might need a certificate to use and register your VHF marine radio. Not much is known yet (end of 2010) but if the laws do change AquaPlanning will organise Short Range Certificate (SRC) courses on the island. We explicitly seek cooperation with local sailing/diving schools or other organisations.
