Rib High-Speed
A RIB Rally is one of the most spectacular races on the water. The skipper feels as if the steering wheel controls a roller coaster without brakes.
You are becoming an adrenaline junky, while every muscle in your body is telling you that you are really alive!
It is very easy to let the adrenaline take over and forget about the safety of the crew. This training will help you find out what the limits of your craft, your crew and yourself are.
Please note:
1. This is not an RYA training, we designed it ourselves.
2. This is not a win-against-all-costs training. We will show you the limits of a RIB, to make sure that you can keep a safe distance from those limits.
Learn how to:
- Navigate at high speeds (above 40 knots)
- Navigate at low speeds (best position at the starting line, turning quickly)
- The fastest way to start
- Trim for top speed.
- Trim for waves from the head, the stern and from the sides
- How to cross a bar through breaking water
- Communication on board
- How to keep the boat intact
- Inspection of hired RIB's or speedboats
- Wave formation
- How to bail a boat the fastest way
For this training we do not accept beginners. Otherwise the large differences in handling would interfere with the learning curve. An exception will be made for complete teams registering as one group, since the most act as one group.
This training is designed by ourselves, so it is not an RYA endorsed training.
Price: € 1450, including fuel, certificate, clothing, bouyancy aid, Dutch VAT, harbour and slipway fee's .
Price: € 1450, price per boat, regardless of number of trainee's. Included: Fuel, protective clothing, harbour fees, slip fees, buoyancy aids.
Other locations can be arranged, at nominal extra cost.
