RYA Advanced Powerboat lessons are now available in the Netherlands. We offer the full range of Powerboat training, both inland and coastal.
Training will be done from Lelystad (inland) and IJmuiden (coastal). With a speedboat, you can travel from Lelystad to those wonderful IJsselmeer harbors in Holland in under an hour. The Netherlands may be small, but you won't see shore from the middle of the IJsselmeer, making it a perfect navigation trial run. When teaching from IJmuiden, the North Sea with it's challenges is right round the corner.
It is also possible to train from your preferred location, on your own boat, one of our boats or a rented boat.
Please note that only British citizens or residents1 can apply for an ICC after our level 2 training. If you are not, you still need the "Klein Vaarbewijs" to operate a fast boat in the Netherlands. We do not trainfor, nor organize the theoretical exam for the "Klein Vaarbewijs". There is more information about this in the FAQ.

1Evidence of residency for non-citizens will be required in the form of a photocopy of a driving licence, utility bill, Council Tax bill or bank statement etc. Additional information may be necessary.
