If you want to participate in the Sydney-Hobart, Fastnet or most other sea going sail races, changes are that you need a senior First Aid course.
Our Dutch spoken First Aid courses are valid for five years. These are not valid for Yachtmasters and RYA Instructors.
Our English spoken courses are under RYA Recognition and are valid for three years. These are valid for Yachtmasters and RYA Instructors.
One mannequin per person, we use mannequins with individual performance feedback.
The subjects specific to boating include:

the recovery position in a confined space

CPR, including the drowning protocol

cold shock and hypothermia from immersion and/or exposure

seasickness and dehydration
-
medical assistance or advice by VHF
-
helicopter rescue
Course details:
- One day, 09:30 till 17:30
- Maximum number of participants 12 per instructor.
